In light of recent news stories indicating that incumbent State Rep. Pat Fallon is likely to seek a Texas Senate seat, Frisco entrepreneur, Clint Bedsole, announced today that he will run for the Republican nomination for Texas House District 106 if Fallon runs for Senate. House District 106 covers the Northeast portion of Denton County including the cities of Aubrey, The Colony, Cross Roads, Hackberry, Krugerville, Lakewood Village, Lincoln Park, Little Elm, Oak Point, Pilot Point, Sanger, and parts of Frisco, Hebron, Prosper, and Plano.

Bedsole, 45, is a military veteran, who served in the U.S. Army Reserve Military Intelligence Battalion. Bedsole currently serves on the board of CoServ, the second largest electric cooperative in Texas that serves 152,000 customers in North Texas. On the board, Bedsole has fought for lower electric rates and greater transparency.

Bedsole is the owner of Epic Carts, on its way to becoming the nation’s largest wholesaler of customized golf carts. The company currently retails neighborhood and family sporting carts.

Bedsole is a conservative Republican. He supports lower taxes, free enterprise and the Second Amendment. One of his priorities is having lower property taxes that have been driven higher by appraisals. Clint is both a fiscal and social conservative.

“I do not think the massive appraisal-driven tax increases are necessary. I will work to bring taxes down just as I advocated for lower rates on CoServ,” said Bedsole. “I look forward to talking with voters across this district – I will be talking about my conservative values and the life experience from which I learned these values.”

Bedsole has served on a number of commissions and committees for Frisco and Denton County. He also leads the men’s ministry at his church, St. Phillips Episcopal. Clint and his wife, Gina, are the proud parents of twins, Tyler and Mackenzie, and their youngest, Morgan.
